What:

A partnership between the Commonwealth of Virginia and the DaVinci Center for Innovation in product design and development at VCU, made possible by a grant from the Productivity Investment Fund.

Who:

A multi-disciplinary team comprised of government employees, administrators, faculty and students from the VCU schools of business, engineering, art, and government and public affairs.

Why:

To provide innovation in product design and development that will solve for a real need in government and that will deliver vital services to the citizens of Virginia.

How:

Via a semester long partnership, representing the brightest minds, applying innovation principles, and new technologies through a collaborative design process.

When:

Starts - Spring Semester 2010

What is required of you?

  • An identified opportunity to provide innovation in product design and development that will solve for a real need in government and that will deliver vital services to the citizens of Virginia.
  • A willingness to offer leadership and guidance to the faculty and student team over the course of 1 semester

Note: An advisory panel comprised of representatives of the VCU schools of business, engineering, art, and government and public affairs will evaluate and select project based on a to be determined set of criteria.
